Tyreke Evans Provides 27 Points Off the Bench
7 years agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Tyreke Evans returned from an illness in Monday's 120-109 win over Phoenix, dropping 27 points in 26 minutes off the bench. Evans, who led the Grizzlies in scoring for the 20th time this season, sank three of his five triples and shot 11-for-17 overall. He had four assists and was a team-leading plus-25. Evans ended up exiting the game a couple of minutes before the end with an apparent hand injury, but it's not thought to be serious. He'll get three more games this week, and it will be interesting to see if head coach J. B. Bickerstaff keeps him in the second unit.
