Tyrese Maxey Ties Season High With 33-Point Outing Friday
3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey was firing on all cylinders offensively during Friday's win over the Cavaliers, collecting a season-high-tying 33 points, giving the trio of himself, Joel Embiid, and James Harden 20 or more points each in four consecutive games. Any concerns about Maxey's fantasy upside falling off in Harden's arrival have been quickly squelched, as the second-year guard shot 10-for-15 overall, including going 5-for-6 from behind the arc. The icing on his performance was the five assists, four rebounds, and two steals that he added. Maxey will have little rest before facing Miami on Saturday, which may actually be to his advantage: on the second leg of back-to-backs this season, the 21-year-old is averaging 18.2 PPG, his highest mark for any amount of rest.
