6 years agoLike he did last year, Tyrrell Hatton will play in the Open Championship tune-up at the Aberdeen Scottish Open. Unlike last year, however, Hatton is not playing for a spot in the Open Championship. In the 2016 Scottish Open, Hatton came through under pressure with a second-place finish to secure a spot in the years third major. This year the Englishman is already in and can focus on using this event as more of a tune-up for next week. While Hatton certainly has a chance, you can't put too much stock in his second-place finish a year ago as that was at Castle Stuart while this years event is at Gullane Golf Club.--cmangano
