Vikings Defense Could Have Sneaky Value
5 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings Defense has a chance to produce sneaky value in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. They showed out in the wild-card round as they shut down the high-powered New Orleans Saints offense, picking up three sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in the process. This week they'll face quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the run-heavy attack of the 49ers, who have 23 total giveaways on the season. A lot of the passing-game focus will be on elite tight end George Kittle and rightly so, but the Vikings rank among the league's very best at defending the position this season. This game also notably sports the round's lowest point total at just 44.5 points. Safety Jayron Kearse (toe, knee) is doubtful and cornerback Mackensie Alexander (knee) won't play. Consider the Vikings defense as a potentially low-owned, high-ceiling option in DFS formats.
