5 years agoVladimir Guerrero Jr. showed Toronto fans a hopeful glimpse of the future when he tripled in the seventh inning of Saturday's game against the New York Yankees, driving in Bo Bichette and Cavan Biggio to put the Blue Jays up 5-4, a score by which they would hang on to win by. Guerrero has been on fire the past few weeks, collecting multiple hits in 11 of his last 20 games - including five three-hit games - with five home runs, 23 RBI, and 12 runs scored. Seen as having had a disappointing season only by players thinking that a 20-year old who'd never played in the majors was worth a top-50 pick, Guerrero is starting to show why the hype existed in the first place.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
