2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (wrist) is expected to begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Durham Bulls on Tuesday. According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Franco could be back with the Rays before the end of this coming weekend, assuming he has no setbacks. Topkin also mentioned that Franco's injured teammates Manuel Margot and Harold Ramirez are on about the same timeline as Franco. Franco has been out since early July due to a broken hamate bone in his wrist. The 21-year-old has played in 58 games this year and he's compiled five home runs, five stolen bases, 23 RBI and 34 runs while slashing .260/.308/.396.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
