3 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (quadriceps) began a rehab assignment with the Florida Complex League Rays on Saturday. He played designated hitter in Saturday's game and went 1-for-4 with a triple. Franco has been sidelined since the end of May with a right quadriceps strain. He got the day off on Sunday and he is expected to play shortstop in Monday's game for the FCL Rays. According to Rays reporter Adam Berry, if things go well on Monday, Franco will have his rehab assignment moved to Triple-A. While we still don't have a crystal clear timeline for Franco, he appears to be trending in the right direction and we should have a better idea of his timeline after his game on Monday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
