3 years agoThere's still a chance that the Warriors trade this pick later in the night, but for now, the Golden State Warriors are using the No. 7 pick on G League Ignite forward Jonathan Kuminga. Probably the most physical wing player in this draft, Kuminga can do some ball-handling and is an explosive player in transition. He averaged 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game last year on 38.7 percent shooting. He struggled from deep, shooting 24.6 percent. Kuminga needs to put all the physical tools together to become a consistent defender and needs to work on shot selection, but the Warriors—if healthy—won't need Kuminga to do too much. This should be a good spot for him to be brought along slowly, which is good for Kuminga in the long term, but likely is a little bad for fantasy managers who were thinking about taking Kuminga in redraft leagues.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
