Wayne Ellington Will Miss Tuesday’s Contest
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small forward Wayne Ellington (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Rockets, marking his first absence since Nov. 2. Ellington had started each of L.A.'s prior six outings, with Malik Monk and Stanley Johnson likely to see elevated roles in the veteran's absence. Ellington has served almost entirely as a three-point shooting asset for the Lakers, with just four of his 41 shots over his last six games coming from inside the arc; despite that, the 34-year-old has not cracked into the double-digit scoring column since Nov. 24. Ellington did not travel with the team, which puts his status for Wednesday's game vs. Memphis into question as well.
