Wendell Carter Jr. Continues Slow Start
6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Wendell Carter Jr.'s struggles continued on Friday night versus the Charlotte Hornets. Carter Jr. scored just seven points on two of five shooting with four rebounds and three blocks. There are multiple reasons why Carter Jr. isn't putting up better stats, the first is he hasn't be given many shots averaging just seven field goal attempts a contest. The second reason is Carter Jr. isn't being given consistent minutes either. In the two games that Carter Jr. has 30 minutes or more of playing time, he averages eight boards, three assists, and 1.5 blocks a game. In the outings that Carter Jr. has less than 30 minutes, Carter Jr. is averaging three rebounds, two blocks, and 1.6 assists per contest. At this point, season-long fantasy players should stay away from Carter Jr. until he is given more chances to shine unless you desperately need blocks in categories leagues.
