Wendell Carter Jr. Remains Out For Friday’s Game
4 years agoChicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. (quad) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Clippers as the team continues to play it safe with his quad injury. Carter hasn't suited up since Jan. 18, although the team had initially tagged him as doubtful for Friday, which indicates an increase in improvement, albeit a slight one. Daniel Gafford has held down starting duties in place of Carter, but the second-year big man has delivered marginal fantasy returns. Thaddeus Young has excelled with the increased role in the offense, with his season-long stock likely to take a hit upon Carter's return. Carter's next chance to suit up comes Monday versus Indiana, although he's far from a sure thing to return so soon.
