6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb, knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nuggets. According to the Bulls, Carter won't require surgery on his left thumb as the ligament is stable, although it is classified as a sprain. Meanwhile, the MRI on his left knee came back negative. The rookie will be re-evaluated on Friday in Chicago and should be considered day-to-day going forward. While Carter is out, Bobby Portis may be inserted in the starting lineup while Robin Lopez, Cristiano Felicio, and Jabari Parker could see a few extra minutes. Portis could be a cheap DFS play as he is an excellent rebounder who can put up points when he gets going.--Daniel Benjamin
