Wendell Carter Jr. Will Miss Sunday’s Contest
4 years agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (eye) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus Minnesota due to a left eye abrasion. Carter's absence will mark his third contest in a row on the sidelines, paving the way for Mohamed Bamba to skyrocket in appeal in the DFS market. In his last two starts, Bamba has snared 15 and 18 boards, respectively, with a similar workload anticipated Sunday, especially when matching up with Karl-Anthony Towns. Carter hasn't reached the 30-minute plateau since April 18, so even when he returns, the Orlando frontcourt may too muddled for him to be viewed as anything other than a streamer play during season-long championship week. His next chance to return comes Tuesday against the Bucks.
