6 years agoDallas Mavericks shooting guard Wesley Matthews scored 11 points during Wednesday’s win over the Houston Rockets. Matthews logged 23 minutes and aside from those 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting, didn’t do much else by way of statistical contribution. There was an assist, but that was the extent of it, marking the third time this season he has failed to snag a rebound and the seventh time he has had zero or one assists. Rostering Matthews for his marksman prowess proves captivating when the three-ball is falling, but there will also be nights like Wednesday where other contributions get sent by the wayside.--Jesse Borek
