6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun may have been overtaken as the next outfield prospect to be called to the major leagues. The natural assumption has been that if Shin-Soo Choo or Joey Gallo got injured then Calhoun would be in the majors. However, there is now a chance that Scott Heineman may have overtaken him. Heineman has been productive at Triple-A this season, with a .303 batting average, nine home runs and 14 stolen bases. Heineman is at this point also the better defensive player and offers more opportunities as a pinch runner. It is now looking likely we will not see Willie Calhoun until rosters expand in September.--Ben Rolfe
