6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun was removed from a game at Triple-A on Sunday after not running hard to first base on a grounder. The Rangers are trying to enforce a message of running hard on every play, and Calhoun fell foul of this. Calhoun was back in the lineup Monday and went 2-for-4 with a double. Calhoun is now hitting .270 with four home runs, 29 runs and 17 RBI at Triple-A in 2018. Calhoun's fielding has been the issue for the Rangers, but he has just two errors in 367 1/3 innings in left field this season. Calhoun is worth a stash in deeper leagues, as he should be the next outfielder called up by the Rangers.--Ben Rolfe
