5 years agoDallas Mavericks center Willie Cauley-Stein was perfect from the floor (7-for-7) during Saturday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets, notching his first double-double since being acquired in late January. His 15 points and 10 rebounds across his 25 minutes mark his first double-double since Jan. 8. He continues to be a solid source of blocks as well, packing two shots Saturday, averaging better than one per contest since joining the Mavericks. The absence of Kristaps Porzingis (rest/knee) allowed Cauley-Stein to enter the starting five, a role that he may reprise Monday if there are any lingering issues for Porzingis, who is also dealing with the effects of a nose fracture.--Jesse Borek
