Wizards Pick Troy Brown With 15th Pick
7 years agoThe Washington Wizards have selected Oregon forward Troy Brown with the 15th pick in the NBA Draft. Brown, who averaged 11.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game for the Ducks last season, is a good ball-handler but there are concerns about his jumper. He shot under 30 percent from three last season and will need to improve his shooting form in order to consistently score on catch-and-shoot opportunities. He'll likely start the season backing up Otto Porter at the three, but he has the size and defensive acumen to slide down to the four as well. Either way, his best-case scenario for his rookie season will be as a good defensive player off the bench who won't be asked to shoulder much of the scoring load. Avoid him in redraft formats.
