3 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (back) was injured during a collision with his teammate, outfielder Alex Verdugo, during Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He was removed from the game after the play. Following the game, Red Sox manager Alex Cora stated that Bogaerts was dealing with minor lower back discomfort and that he was day-to-day. The 29-year-old is slashing .326/.388/.465 with four home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs on the year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
