2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (knee) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Memphis this Thursday. According to John Denton of MLB.com, the Cardinals are planning for Molina to play a few games at Triple-A, then return to the team on August 2. On that day, the Cardinals will play against the Chicago Cubs and Molina's longtime teammate Adam Wainwright is scheduled to pitch. The 40-year-old has been out since the middle of June due to right knee inflammation. He appeared in 38 games this year prior to landing on the injured list and slashed .213/.225/.294 with two home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
