2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez (hand) took some batting practice in the cages on Sunday. It was the first time he'd gone through hitting drills since landing on the injured list with right hand inflammation a week ago. After taking some swings, he did some on-field running drills. The 25-year-old was fantastic over the first half of the 2022 season. Across 75 games, he hit .306/.405/.653 with 26 home runs, 60 RBI and 57 runs. He'll likely be back in action relatively soon after play resumes following the All-Star break.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
