4 years agoToronto Raptors small/power forward Yuta Watanabe (ankle) has been deemed doubtful to take the floor for Sunday's contest against the Timberwolves due to a sprained left ankle. Watanabe has been unable to play since sustaining the injury in practice, which has opened the door for DeAndre' Bembry to see a handful of additional minutes off the bench. While none of the Raptors' second unit wings are worth season-long deliberation at this stage, Watanabe has shown scoring upside when given enough minutes and has provided valuable frontcourt depth. His likely next best chance to suit up comes Tuesday versus Milwaukee.--Jesse Borek
