6 years agoBaltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton blew his first save of the season in Wednesday's game against the Mariners. Britton entered the ninth inning with a two-run lead and proceeded to give it away on a Kyle Seager two-run home run. Britton's final line in the inning pitched was two runs on two hits with a strikeout. He has not done well since returning to the team from an Achilles injury, posting a 7.04 ERA in 7 2/3 IP. However, with Britton's name floating around the trade market, the Orioles may continue to give him opportunities to showcase his skills until the trade deadline. Regardless, Britton currently pitches for one of the worst teams in baseball, so his opportunities for saves will be limited.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
