Zach LaVine Drills 13 Triples During Career-High 49-Point Night
5 years agoOn the heels of reported animosity between Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine and head coach Jim Boylen following Friday's loss, LaVine erupted for the best scoring evening of his six-year career during Saturday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets. Sinking a game-winning triple just before the buzzer, LaVine’s performance was historic, as he knocked down 13 threes during his 49-point evening. He joins only Golden State Warriors guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as the three players in league history to have accrued 13 or more triples in a single game. After a three-game cold spell, any issues with LaVine and his playing time appears to have been ironed out. He next takes the floor Monday against Portland, looking to continue his hot shooting.
