7 years agoThe New York Mets are intrigued by the idea of using starting pitcher Zack Wheeler out of the bullpen, but they have not wanted to use starter Steven Matz in that role. As expected, Wheeler was highly inconsistent in 17 starts for the Mets last season after coming off two lost seasons due to Tommy John surgery, but his velocity has been in the high-90s this spring, which is an encouraging sign. He'll need to show better control of his pitches, but if he's in a relief role, he'll have pretty much zero fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
