Zion Williamson Opens Second Half With 25-Point Outing
5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson dominated Portland the last time that the two teams faced off earlier this month, with Friday’s win for the Pelicans telling a similar story. Williamson went for 25 points on 10-for-17 shooting across 29 minutes, adding four rebounds and three assists to his stat sheet. The rookie continues to produce gaudy numbers, including shooting 57.8 percent overall from the field, even as head coach Alvin Gentry keeps a watch on his minutes. While Williamson has shown an ability to score against a vast array of opponents, he should be in a particularly favorable spot Sunday versus the Warriors, who have yielded at least 125 points in three of their last five outings.
