As usual, the wide receiver matchup article from last week had some solid recommendations along with a few letdowns, but given the wild week that was Week 9, things went alright for the most part. Ja'Marr Chase (WR-49) was the biggest disappointment of the week, seeing 13 targets but catching just six of them for 49 yards along with Kadarius Toney (WR-90) who was only targeted once against the Raiders. Marquise Brown (WR-9), Brandin Cooks (WR-30), Jaylen Waddle (WR-18), Jerry Jeudy (WR-24) and Hunter Renfrow (WR-15) all had solid outings as expected. Brandon Aiyuk (WR-10) had his best game of the season, making several contested catches and appears to be back in peak form. Now it's time to put Week 9 behind us and look forward to Week 10.
Nothing is more important than matchup analysis when it comes to fantasy football. Playing your team's best players on a regular basis is important, but picking apart the top matchups on a week-to-week basis can win you a championship, or even better, some cold hard cash in DFS. So far the league's top cornerbacks like Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay, Casey Hayward, Jaire Alexander, and Trevon Diggs, have held receivers in check for the most part. While there are lock-down corners, there are also guys who can be exploited, some of whom will be discussed later. Up to this point in the season, the Titans, Bears, Colts, Jaguars, Dolphins, Vikings, and Washington defenses have glaring weaknesses in their secondaries that we can exploit with wide receiver matchups. Analyzing another angle, the Saints, Browns, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Colts and Bills defenses have given up 4.0 yards-per-carry or less which means teams may look to pass on them given their ability to stop the run.
Here are the top WR vs CB matchups for Week 10. Use these to set season-long lineups, as well as gain a competitive edge in the DFS games. The matchup data used in this article is from PFF.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
$7,700 FanDuel / $7,000 DraftKings - vs Fabian Moreau
The Falcons defense has been improving throughout the season and A.J. Terrell has been the man to avoid in their secondary, giving up just .30 yards-per-route covered and a 46% catch-rate. Amari Cooper should draw coverage from Terrell for most of the Cowboys contest against the Falcons which will leave CeeDee Lamb with a favorable matchup against Fabian Moreau. This game has the highest over/under of the week which is set at 54.5 points and with Ezekiel Elliott a little banged up heading into the game, so the Cowboys may lean heavily on the passing game. Given the matchups, Lamb is likely to be the focal point of the Cowboys passing game and should come through.
Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers
$7,400 FanDuel / $6,800 DraftKings - vs Amani Oruwariye
The Lions have given up a lot of fantasy points to running backs this year but they're equally as bad against the pass, giving up a league-worst 9.3 yards-per-pass and 32 explosive plays. The Steelers are without Chase Claypool this week due to a foot injury which means Ben Roethlisberger will really need to lean on Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth in the passing game. While the Lions have struggled to defend the run this year, they haven't given up a 100-yard rusher since Alexander Mattison all the way back in Week 5. That means the Steelers will likely need to throw in this contest to put the Lions away. The Lions poor pass defense coupled with the Steelers' lack of quality pass targets makes playing Diontae Johnson a very appealing option this week.
Keenan Allen, L.A. Chargers
$7,200 FanDuel / $7,000 DraftKings - vs Mackensie Alexander
The Vikings have given up the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year and they've been especially vulnerable as of late. Over the last two weeks the Vikings gave up 100-yard receiving games to Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb in Week 8 and Marquise Brown in Week 9. Mike Williams has a solid matchup against Bashaud Breeland but so does Keenan Allen against Mackensie Alexander who is giving up a 71% catch-rate and 1.26 yards-per-route covered. Allen has been targeted 24 times over the Chargers last two games which means Justin Herbert has really been looking his way lately. The over/under in this contest is set at 53.5 points so there should be plenty of points scored in this one.
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
$7,200 FanDuel / $6,300 DraftKings - vs Tyson Campbell
Michael Pittman has been dominating targets for the Colts lately and has caught a touchdown in four of his last five games. The Jaguars have actually been alright against the run this year, giving up just 3.8 yards-per-carry (third-best in the NFL) which means the Colts may need to air it out a little in this one in order to put points on the board. Look for Pittman to continue to lead the Colts in targets again this week and have a big day against a struggling Jaguars secondary.
Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
$6,200 FanDuel / $5,300 DraftKings - vs Avonte Maddox
Jerry Jeudy did alright in his second game back from an ankle injury last week and he has another decent matchup in Week 10 against the Eagles. Jeudy has run most of his routes out of the slot this year which means he should avoid Darius Slay for the most part. Last week the Eagles gave up 104 yards to Keenan Allen and back in Week 7 Hunter Renfrow had a modest seven catches for 58 yards against them. There is a chance that the Broncos dominate on the ground against the Eagles, but even if that's the case, when they do throw the ball, they should be directing most of the throws towards Jerry Jeudy.
Elijah Moore, N.Y. Jets
$5,700 FanDuel / $4,700 DraftKings - vs Levi Wallace
The Bills offense should rebound after a very disappointing performance in Week 9 against the Jaguars which means the Jets could be in big trouble as 12.5-point underdogs. The Bills do surrender the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers on the season, but that's due largely to the play of Tre'Davious White shutting down the opposition's best receiver. Elijah Moore figures to avoid White for the game and the Jets will continue to find ways to get the ball in his hands in space to make plays. Even though the Bills defense is very good, I look to Moore because he's the playmaker in the Jets offense and he's likely the only guy that can make something big happen.
Jamal Agnew, Jacksonville Jaguars
$5,300 FanDuel / $4,500 DraftKings - vs Kenny Moore
The Colts are pretty good against the run but they've been getting destroyed through the air, surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Jamal Agnew should draw coverage from Kenny Moore this week who has been struggling this year, giving up a 77% catch-rate and 0.36 fantasy points-per-route which is the highest on the Colts. Moore is also the most-target Colts cornerback. The Jaguars are 10.5-point underdogs in this contest so they should be throwing the ball plenty.
