DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/25/20): NBA DFS Lineups

Tuesday features a seven-game slate with some of the top teams in the league on display. The Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets are all in the top-three of their respective standings.

Along with the top-tier teams comes their stellar defense with the Bucks, Celtics, Raptors and Lakers all in the top-five rated defenses in the league. Despite this, we can still find value with these teams competing. The Lakers (-8) face the new and improved New Orleans Pelicans, winners of five of their past six games. The Pelicans are averaging the most points in the league over this stretch, with the Lakers coming in tied for fifth. There is good reason why this could be the highest scoring game of the night with a projected total of 238.5.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/25/20.  You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks.  Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

De'Aaron Fox - PG, SAC @ GS ($7,600)

Fox was playing exceptionally well before the All-Star break before a couple downers as the league entered the mid-season intermission. Now, Fox has bounced back and looks great, scoring at least 20 points in two straight games, including a solid Los Angeles Clippers defense. The absence of Marvin Bagley (foot) and Richaun Holmes (shoulder) has forced Fox to be more aggressive on offense, which bodes well for his value on Tuesday. The Golden State Warriors give up the fifth-most DraftKings fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. They even allow the fourth-best shooting percentage from the field and third-best shooting from beyond the arc. With their defensive anchor Draymond Green (pelvis) also possibly out again, Fox should feast.

Marcus Smart - PG/SG, BOS @ POR ($6,100)

Smart has been extremely productive as a starter this season. The Celtics have already ruled out Kemba Walker (knee) ahead of Tuesday's game which should leave Smart in the starting lineup. As a starter, Smart has averaged 13.3 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 three-pointers and 1.5 steals in 34.0 minutes per game. The Portland Trail Blazers have been more than generous to opposing guards this season, especially those running the point. The Trail Blazers allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Despite all this, Smart stays at a reasonable price tag and his inefficiency does not negatively impact his fantasy value here.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

PJ Washington - SF/PF, CHA @ IND ($4,900)

Despite posting back-to-back games with at least 33.0 DraftKings fantasy points, Washington's price tag still remains below $5,000 in this slate. The Hornets have preached their desire to start a youth movement and Washington has shown extreme promise as a rookie this year. Coming out of the break, Washington has posted an average of 16.5 points on 50.0 percent shooting, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 threes and 1.5 steals in 34.0 minutes per game. It is a good bet Washington's role will continue, regardless of the outcome of the actual game.

Juan Toscano-Anderson - SF/PF, GS v. SAC ($4,100)

Some of you may be wondering one question: who?! Toscano-Anderson has burst onto the scene in his past two games where he posted 30.0 and 37.5 DraftKings fantasy points, respectively. The Warriors have been a gold mine for fantasy this year with many different players experiencing breakouts, such as Damion Lee, Alec Burks, Glenn Robinson III, Marquese Chriss and now Toscano-Anderson. Both Chriss (calf) and Draymond Green (pelvis) were out on Sunday, so Toscano-Anderson will have much better value if these two sit out yet again.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Steven Adams - C, OKC @ CHI ($6,700)

Despite the trade rumors circulating around the deadline, Adams has been unfazed lately and continues to produce after the break. Adams has recorded four straight double-doubles and five straight games with double digit rebounds. After the break alone, Adams has averaged 20.0 points on 57.7 percent shooting, 15.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in 29.5 minutes. What is really surprising is the free-throw percentage. Adams is shooting 83.3 percent from the line since the All-Star break, albeit a small sample size. Regardless, Adams faces one the worst teams in the league against big men: the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are ranked 28th in total fantasy points and 29th in points and field goals made against centers this season. With Wendell Carter Jr. (ankle) still on the sidelines, Adams has a great opportunity to continue his dominance.
