MLB DFS Prop Picks for 6/9 - PrizePicks

nathan eovaldi fantasy baseball rankings pitchers draft sleepers MLB injury news

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season and alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. For today's article, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Single Stat pitchers and explain why a pitcher will or will not go over their projected strikeout total. Let's see what the board offers today!

Single Stat MLBP Totals

Zach Eflin over 5.5 strikeouts - The Braves are striking out a lot right now and are currently posting the second-highest rate against right-handers over the previous 10 days with a rate of nearly 30%. Eflin has gone over this total in seven of his previous eight starts and has also gone over this total in two of his three starts against these Braves on the season.

Nathan Eovaldi over 4.5 strikeouts - Eovaldi is set with a low number tonight because he is facing the Astros, but the Astros have actually been striking out at a higher rate lately and are posting a rate of 25.2% against right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked 12th-worst in baseball. Eovaldi has gone over this total in three of his previous four starts and has also allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his previous three starts. He is pitching well right now and should be able to get over the hump in this one.

Casey Mize over 5.5 strikeouts - Mize has been pitching great lately as he has allowed just nine earned runs in his previous six starts. He has also struck out at least six in all four of his previous starts, including a seven strikeout performance against these Mariners on May 17th. The Mariners are currently posting a K rate of 28.3% against right-handers over the previous 10 days as well, which is ranked fourth-worst in baseball over that span.

Lance Lynn under 6.5 strikeouts - Lynn has a tough matchup tonight against the Toronto Blue Jays who are only striking out at a rate of 21% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked inside the top ten in baseball over that span. Lynn has also only gone over this total twice in his previous seven starts and once in his previous four starts. He has not shown the strikeout upside lately to play an over in this situation against these Blue Jays.
