Happy New Year, everyone. Holy moly, what an exciting Week 16 it was, especially for those who opted to roll with Joe Burrow as their starting signal-caller. Tee Higgins also had one hell of a week, so the DFS managers who stacked the duo more than likely won some cash. However, it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies for many, primarily since Matthew Stafford and Tom Brady performed well below expectations.
Entering Week 17, things are just as chaotic across the National Football League as more and more players continue to be sidelined because of COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Without question, the past two seasons have been crazy regarding player availability. Yet, with the bad comes some good, as there have been a ton of value opportunities for DFS enthusiasts.
In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 17 daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 17 DFS Lineup Picks
Tom Brady, QB - @ NYJ ($8,300)
Mr. Brady will already be without Chris Godwin for the remainder of the season. He could also be missing Mike Evans and Antonio Brown against the Jets, which would be even worse. Yet, it's still the Jets, and nobody has dominated New York over the last few decades like the G.O.A.T. Brady has thrown for nearly 8,700 yards against the team during his career while accumulating 57 touchdowns, so he has a proven track record. Even if he doesn't have his primary receiving corps, he is always the running to put on a solid showing, regardless of who is around him.
Dak Prescott, QB - vs. ARI ($7,400)
Prescott had a fine showing during the Cowboys' most recent win over Washington. The veteran went 28-for-39 for 330 yards while compiling four touchdown tosses. Despite that efficient performance, his rostering cost is considerably less than others at the position heading into Week 17. Even better, the Cardinals have had some rough defensive outings recently, allowing Carson Wentz to throw for 225 yards and two scores in Week 16 and Jared Goff to go for over 200 yards and three touchdowns in the game prior.
Also Consider: Josh Allen ($8,800), Justin Herbert ($8,200), Matthew Stafford ($7,600), Trey Lance ($6,400 - GPP only)
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 17 DFS Lineup Picks
Jonathan Taylor, RB - vs. LV ($10,000)
After it appeared as if Taylor would never slow down, he came back down to earth in Week 16 versus Arizona, finishing with 108 yards off 27 touchdowns. While that would be a good showing for many, it was a disappointment for the sophomore, as he failed to score at least one touchdown for the first time since Week 3. Nonetheless, with the Raiders up next, Taylor will have the luxury of squaring off against one of the worst run defenses throughout the entire league. Taylor may produce even more if Carson Wentz can't suit up after landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Damien Harris, RB - vs. JAC ($7,400)
The Patriots appear to have its running back of the future as Harris has substantially turned up the volume recently. While he doesn't routinely get a lot of touches, he has made them count. He had just over 100 yards during the loss to the Bills on Sunday, and he also had three end zone trips, bringing his total to five throughout his previous three games. Harris has also established himself as one of the league's best goal-line backs, as evidenced by seven touchdowns within the five-yard line this year. The 24-year-old is questionable against Jacksonville, but all reports so far suggest he will be good to go.
Also Consider: David Montgomery ($7,200), Sony Michel ($7,100), Ronald Jones II ($7,000), Josh Jacobs ($6,600), Darrel Williams ($6,200), Javonte Williams ($6,100), Devin Singletary ($6,000), Michael Carter ($5,700)
FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 17 DFS Lineup Picks
Cooper Kupp, WR - @ BAL ($10,200)
While the Ravens defense isn't as short-handed as it was in Week 16, it still has some significant absences to navigate through. Everyone saw what happened in Week 16, and things shouldn't be any different with Kupp rolling into town. Baltimore has given up the most fantasy points to opposing wideouts by a large margin over the last month. In addition, the superstar has some favorable Vegas prop odds, so it's a good idea to get him into as many DFS lineups as possible despite the hefty price tag.
Keenan Allen, WR - vs. DEN ($7,300)
The Ravens aren't the only club dealing with injuries. On Friday, the Broncos placed several defenders on the COVID-19 list. As a result, the team may have some big problems keeping the Chargers' offense in check, so Allen has a solid chance to make some noise on the fantasy end. Before the Week 16 loss to Houston, the veteran received at least eight targets in each of his previous seven games, and with L.A. looking to remain in the postseason picture, Allen should be fired-up and ready to produce versus an ailing Denver defense.
Also Consider: Tyreek Hill ($8,200), CeeDee Lamb ($7,200), Tee Higgins ($7,000), DK Metcalf ($6,600)
FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 17 DFS Lineup Picks
Rob Gronkowski, TE - @ NYJ ($6,700)
Antonio Brown didn't practice on Thursday and Friday, while Mike Evans logged just one limited session throughout the week. With both men dealing with injuries, along with Chris Godwin out for the year, Tom Brady will certainly need some help. Understandably, many will be apprehensive about this one, especially since Gronkowski was virtually in the same situation heading into Week 16 against Carolina. However, with the Jets on the menu, a team Gronk has faced many times during his career, his upside is higher than ever, increasing even more if Evans or Brown can't play.
Also Consider: Travis Kelce ($8,200), Dawson Knox ($6,200), Dalton Schultz ($5,900), Dallas Goedert ($5,800), Zach Ertz ($5,500)
