The Chicago White Sox have designated outfielder Daniel Palka for assignment. Palka showed good power in 2018, but took a big step backwards in 2019. Palka hit .107 with 35 strikeouts in 84 at-bats. The move will open a spot for newly signed catcher Yasmani Grandal.
