The final score looked a little lopsided, but Game One of the World Series did provide a ton of back-and-forth action. Here's to hoping Game Two continues that trend this evening. First pitch tonight is at 8:09 at Fenway Park - the visiting Dodgers will march out the hefty lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Red Sox will turn to southpaw David Price.
The Vegas total for this one is a full run higher than last night, sitting at 8.5. Don't be too surprised if that number creeps up to 9 before first pitch, as 81% of the dollars being wagered thus far are on the OVER. As for the moneyline, the Red Sox opened as -135 favorites and a decent amount of action on Boston at the betting window has moved that number up to -143. Thus far, Boston is being backed by 70% of the moneyline bets, and 82% of the money wagered on the moneyline.

Justin Turner - 3B, at BOS ($7,500)
This is a really nice price for someone with as high of a points ceiling as any player taking the field tonight. Turner is known for his ability to crush left-handed pitching, and he has an optimal spot high in the order which really adds to his value (especially on a one-game slate where at-bats are even more critical). He finished the 2018 regular season with a .423 wOBA split and a 179 wRC+ against lefties.
Mookie Betts - OF, vs LAD ($9,000)
Mookie is tied for the steepest price along with Manny Machado and J.D. Martinez, but it's a price worth eating as he looks to have broken out of the swing-slump that was plaguing him in the ALDS and the ALCS. He made great contact last night and had quite a few barrels (even though a handful fell foul). Against a lefty in Ryu that has drastic home/road splits (ERA twice as high on the road), I'm taking the leadoff man in my MVP slot on FanDuel. Betts did absolutely elite things against southpaws this season, posting a .488 wOBA and a 212 wRC+. At home, he was even more impressive and posted a .411 batting average.
Brian Dozier - 2B, at BOS ($6,000)
Dozier isn't the lefty-crusher he once was, but I think he's worth the risk in tournaments tonight for a few reasons. For starters, the price point and lineup order value are very desirable, as is the fact this is a great park for right-handed power. Boston starter David Price is no stranger to giving up outfield seat souvenirs, either. And last, but certainly not least, Dozier finished 2018 with a 47% pull rate against lefties, which bodes well for a righty hitting at Fenway Park.
Steve Pearce - 1B, vs LAD ($6,500)
Similar to Dozier, Pearce is a play that provides salary relief without the sacrifice of home run upside. Pearce's prowess against lefty pitchers flies under the radar a bit - his 2018 numbers are really strong, highlighted by a .407 wOBA and a .959 OPS split. He also has great lineup order value hitting in the heart of the Boston order.
