Our picks have been killing it recently and we’re going to look to continue that momentum here. What is strange is that we have seven-day games and eight-night games. That makes for a very interesting schedule and it’s definitely dealers choice in terms of choosing which slate you want to play. That’s why I’ll offer plays throughout the day, so anyone can pick from whatever slate they prefer.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Noah Syndergaard, NYM vs. SD ($10,000)
Syndergaard has undoubtedly had a frustrating season for fantasy owners but we have to consider him in a matchup like this. The Padres throw out a lineup with Hunter Renfroe, Fernando Tatis Jr, Franmil Reyes and Manny Machado. What do these guys have in common? They’re all righties and that’s huge for a guy like Syndergaard. For his career, Thor has a 2.71 xFIP, 1.07 WHIP and 29 percent K rate against right-handers. That’s huge against a lineup who ranks 28th in K rate, 24th in runs scored and 25th in xwOBA.
Vince Velasquez, PHI at DET ($6,400)
This is obviously a risky play but there’s a ton of upside when using Velasquez in a matchup like this. Let’s start with Detroit, as they currently rank bottom-three in runs scored, OPS, wOBA, K rate, OPS and xwOBA. That’s why many people are referring to them as the Motor City Kitties, as their roar is more of a meow at this point. That’s big for a volatile pitcher like Velasquez, who’s 4.15 career xFIP and 26 percent K rate shows that he has some serious talent. While his 4.87 ERA is pretty ugly, it’s hard to avoid a guy this talented in a matchup like this who’s priced so cheaply.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Daniel Murphy - 1B, COL at WSH ($3,100)
While this is a doubleheader, we’re going to use Murphy is the matchup against Erick Fedde. The reason for that is because Murphy gets the platoon advantage against Fedde, who’s pitching to a 5.25 xFIP and 1.32 WHIP so far this season. That’s scary against a guy like Murphy, who’s got an OPS north of .900 against right-handers since 2016. The slugging first baseman is rolling right now too, with Murph generating a .326 AVG and .886 OPS over his last 48 games.
Rougned Odor - 2B, TEX at SEA ($2,800)
Odor’s embarrassing batting average has kept his price extremely low but there’s a lot of potential with his recent form and stellar matchup. Odor’s biggest problem throughout his career has been striking out but facing Mike Leake and his 16 percent K rate takes away a lot of that risk. That’s obviously big for a guy like Odor, who happens to have a BA below .200. Despite the ugly batting average, Odor is still averaging 27 homers and 14 steals per year over the last three seasons and is on pace to nearly do that again this year. That power stoke appears to be turning around too, with Odor hitting four doubles and seven homers over his last 15 games.
Jose Ramirez - 3B, CLE at TOR ($4,000)
Ramirez was a Top-10 pick in season-long formats at the beginning of the season and he’s finally performing like that sort of player. Over his last 14 games, Ramirez is hitting .345 while collecting seven doubles, five homers, 12 runs scored, 16 RBI and three steals in that span. That’s why he was one of the top picks in fantasy and it’s clear he’s recaptured that form. What we like here is that he gets to bat from the left side against Marcus Stroman, who’s xFIP is more than a run higher than his ERA.
Jonathan Villar - SS, BAL at ARI ($3,200)
This price continues to surprise me and I truly believe that the Orioles are one of the sneakiest stacks on the board against Taylor Clarke. Let’s start with the Arizona righty, with Clarke pitching to a 6.50 ERA and 1.64 WHIP this season. That’s obviously terrible and more importantly, it puts Villar on the left side. Against right-handers this season, Villar has a .350 OBP while swiping 14 of his 17 steals. That ability atop the lineup is hard to overlook, especially in such a tasty matchup like this.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Kyle Schwarber, CHC at SF ($3,300)
While hitting in Oracle is obviously an ugly situation, it’s hard to fade a powerful leadoff hitter like this in such a good matchup. The powerful lefty gets to square off with Tyler Beede, who’s pitching to a 4.70 ERA and 1.43 WHIP this season. That also puts the platoon advantage in Schwarber’s favor, as he’s got a .495 SLG and .816 OPS against right-handers so far this season.
Joey Gallo, TEX at SEA ($3,700)
Gallo (check status, wrist injury) has hit a bit of a slide recently but he’s still one of the best power bats in the Majors. The thing that’s worrisome when picking Gallo is his propensity to strike out but that’s really not an issue here. The Rangers get to face Mike Leake and his ugly 16 percent K rate, which means Gallo should be putting the ball in play. That’s awesome for a masher with a .404 wOBA and .350 ISO, as this recent price drop makes him hard to fade in a matchup like this.
