Below you will find our fantasy football injuries report for wide receivers in Week 17. The injury statuses for various NFL wide receivers are up in the air for Week 17 including Antonio Brown, Mike Williams, Gabriel Davis, DJ Moore and Brandin Cooks.
With the fantasy football championship week upon us, and NFL teams fighting for their own playoff positions, these are some key wide receiver injuries to keep track of throughout the week.
Antonio Brown Injury Update
Antonio Brown made his return in Week 16 and was featured in the offense with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette all out. It has now been reported that Brown tweaked his ankle in practice this week, but has a chance to play against the Jets. He will be a game-time decision on Sunday morning, so be sure to follow our fantasy football injury news and updates all weekend long.
Mike Williams Injury Update
Mike Williams was placed on the COVID-19 last week and was not able to play, but he has now been activated from the COVID list ahead of the Week 17 matchup against the Denver Broncos. He's fully expected to play, although it's a tough matchup and Williams has been an inconsistent option since his blazing hot start to the season. Fantasy managers may want to look elsewhere if they can in Week 17.
D.J. Moore Injury Update
In Week 16, D.J. Moore was battling a hamstring injury all week and was listed as questionable. He ended up playing and was once again a target hog, racking up 12 targets although hauling in just five catches for 55 yards. Heading into Week 17, he is off the injury report. With Sam Darnold announced as the starter, it may be an uptick in fantasy value, as his most consistent fantasy performances came early in the year with Darnold.
Gabriel Davis Injury Update
After emerging in the last few weeks, Gabriel Davis was forced to miss last week's game after being placed on the COVID-19 list. Heading into the Week 17 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, Davis has officially been activated from the COVID list and is expected to play. If Emmanuel Sanders can't suit up this week, Davis would likely have increase fantasy value and make for an intriguing start.
Brandin Cooks Injury Update
Brandin Cooks was also forced to miss last week's game due to COVID-19 protocols, but he has been officially activated for the Texans Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He's expected to be fully available in a solid matchup, and should be plugged into all lineups. His return also reverts Nico Collins to a long-shot option for Week 17, after filling in for Cooks last week.
Adam Thielen Injury Update
Adam Thielen left Week 13 with an injury, and then missed Weeks 14 and 15 before returning last week and getting injured again. His ankle injury turned out to be a season-ending one, and on Tuesday he underwent surgery and was placed on IR. K.J. Osborn will continue serving as the WR2 on the Vikings, although Kirk Cousins has been ruled out with COVID-19 making him a very risky start.
