To see our tiered staff rankings for starting pitchers, head over to our fantasy baseball rankings dashboard. You can easily filter and export all sorts of rankings and tiers - mixed leagues, points leagues, top prospects, and more!

Starting pitchers get you 40% of the key stats in 5x5 leagues, and are sometimes even more important in H2H and points leagues.  Our starting pitcher depth charts have a special fantasy baseball focus, to let you know which pitchers are worth owning and which aren't. MLB teams make in-season changes due to injuries or poor performance all the time, so stay on top of all MLB starting pitcher depth charts for the AL and NL, and dominate in pitching this year.

We will be updating the MLB Starting Pitcher Depth Charts for Fantasy Baseball all season long. Below you'll find our Week 9 depth charts.

Week 9 MLB Starting Pitcher Depth Charts for Fantasy Baseball

So, this past week Shelby Miller was moved to the 15-day DL along with teammate Rubby De La Rosa. Weird, it's almost like something was wrong with him for the first two months of the season, huh? A couple other shocking nuggets of information: C.C. Sabathia and Rich Hill have been legitimately top-notch in 2016. Not only do they boast fantastic ERA, WHIP, and K/9 figures so far, the peripheral statistics seem to support their fantastic first months. Rich Hill has a FIP of just 2.66 as he has only allowed 0.3 HR/9, while Sabathia has a FIP of just 2.99 and is allowing even fewer long balls in homer-friendly Yankee Stadium at 0.2 HR/9.

If you have been watching the Cincinnati Red's rotation this season, you have probably been waiting for the return of Raisel Iglesias and Anthony DeSclafani, however, you should also be applauding the work of Dan Straily who has really burst on to the radar with the struggling Reds. Straily has an ERA of just 2.98 and a WHIP of 1.123 while striking out 8.6/9, while Brandon Finnegan has recovered from a rough start to produce a respectable ERA of 4.14. Remember, Cincinnati is awaiting the returns of Raisel Iglesias, Michael Lorenzen, Tim Adleman, Jon Moscot, Robert Stephenson, and Anthony DeSclafani, so not only will their rotation receive some new light, but their terrible bullpen will as well.

Even more good news: Matt Harvey and Dallas Keuchel just bounced back with solid outings and Yu Darvish returned from injury by fanning seven batters in five innings while allowing just one earned run. Lastly, Eduardo Rodriguez will be returning to the Red Sox lineup at the expense of Clay Bucholz who is on his way to the bullpen. Kind of saw that one coming, didn't we? Make sure to review the depth chart for every MLB rotation and be familiar with who's where and who's doing what so that you aren't left in the dust once the decks start to shuffle.
