NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 1/13

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as top sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for January 13th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Jeff Teague (ATL, PG) - $8300

The Hawks are soaring, and Teague is the head of the predator. In his last eight games, Teague has averaged 20.8 points, 2.4 steals, 8.5 assists, and 4 rebounds. More casual fans may still not be able to fully appreciate his stellar performances enough to vote him into the All Star game, but we know better. We can appreciate the amazing numbers Teague has put up and legitimately consider him a Top 20 fantasy producer.

The opposing Sixers may be riding a two game winning streak against the Pacers and Nets. However, they will find it difficult to defensively suffocate Teague and the Eastern Conference leading Hawks.

Whether Teague puts up 20-plus points or double-digit assists, he should be able to provide plenty of fantasy points Tuesday night.

Honorable Mentions: Kyrie Irving (CLE, PG),  Dwyane Wade (MIA, SG)

Andrew Wiggins (MIN, SF) - $7000

The Rookie of the Year award is officially Wiggins’ to lose. Due to the Timberwolves’ many injuries, Wiggins has gotten a chance to truly break out and play to his potential. In addition, with Shabazz Muhammad’s abdomen injury, Wiggins should have an even bigger role in the offense.

Wiggins has been incredibly consistent, scoring in double figures in his last ten games and notching 20 points or more points in eight of those games. He has also provided 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals in those last ten games, showing he has ample opportunities to contribute across the board.

Whether Kevin Martin’s return from injury will displace Wiggins as Minnesota’s top offensive threat remains to be seen. Martin is currently listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s matchup against Indiana. However, it is highly unlikely that Martin will be inserted into the lineup and replace Wiggins’ production right away, if at all.

Honorable Mentions: Rudy Gay (SAC, SF), David West (IND, PF)

Chris Bosh (MIA, C) - $8400

This is a pretty easy pick. Take Bosh, the Heat’s leading scorer and the man who just pounded the Clippers with 34 points, and start him against the Lakers, who give up the second most points per game in the league. Bosh’s return from injury has been incredibly successful, as he has averaged 21.8 points and 6.2 rebounds.

Bosh now has free will to do whatever he needs to do on offense. He may post up smaller forwards, or he may shoot threes against bigger forwards and centers.

The only negative in Bosh's game since his return has been his lack of steals and blocks. However, it would be no surprise to see him put up solid defensive stats sometime soon.

Honorable Mentions: Hassan Whiteside (Mia, C), Timofey Mozgov (Cle, C)

Top Sleeper

Roy Hibbert (IND, C) - $5900

Hibbert is like the center version of Brandon Jennings. You have to ride the streaks and the matchups and even when you do, you could still end up getting burned. Despite the inconsistencies and the frustrating foul trouble, Hibbert should be an excellent play Tuesday against the Timberwolves.

Outside of a terrible game on January 7 against the Warriors, Hibbert has been pretty good as of late. Over the last six games, Hibbert has averaged 13.3 points, 1.7 blocks, and 8.5 rebounds per game. He is on the upswing, and should be able to dominate inside against the Timberwolves, the worst defensive team in the league.

This is a hefty price to spend on a sleeper pick, but Hibbert in this matchup has the potential to reward your investment.

Honorable Mentions: Rasual Butler (WAS, SF), Tony Wroten (PHI, PG)
