49ers Fear Jalen Hurd Has Torn ACL

4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jalen Hurd (knee) is undergoing an MRI exam on Monday after suffering what is believed to be a major knee injury in practice on Sunday, according to sources. The fear is that Hurd's MRI will reveal a torn ACL, which would keep Hurd out for another full season. The athletic and versatile receiver didn't play at all in his rookie season in 2019 because of a back injury. Top wideout Deebo Samuel (foot) is also in danger of missing the beginning of the season, so the team's wideout depth is being tested early. First-rounder Brandon Aiyuk's stock is rising since he should see consistent targets in the Niners passing game right away.
