4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola spun another gem on Saturday night as he threw seven shutout innings vs the Mets. Nola allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight and picking up his second win of the season. Nola got rocked on Opening Day, but has been utterly dominant since then, going six, eight, and seven innings in his last three starts, all allowing one run or less. He has seven-plus strikeouts in all four of his starts thanks to an elite 14.8 percent swinging strike rate and his 2.05 ERA is supported by a sparkling 1.89 xFIP.
