7 years agoAdam Scott finished at 11-under par at the Players Championship last weekend, which was good for a share of 11th place. Scott, who ranks 168th on tour in strokes gained putting, managed to gain 2.362 strokes with his putter at the Players. Scott and strokes gained putting is not something we have grown accustomed to hearing, but he recently made a switch back to a long putter, similar to the one he used back in his heyday. The difference is Scott can no longer anchor the putter to his chest when he putts. An anchoring ban was put into effect back in 2013. It must be said, though, that whatever Scott was doing at the Players sure did look a lot like anchoring if you ask us. This week, Scott will tee it up at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Scott makes for an attractive pick and possesses winning upside. Currently ranked 65th in the world, Scott is trying to get into the top 60 so he can automatically qualify for this year's U.S. Open.--Spencer Aguiar - RotoBaller
