4 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have demoted starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay to the team's alternative training site. Alzolay won the fifth spot in the rotation during the spring and has made two starts. Alzolay's stuff looked really good against the Brewers on Monday, but with the Cubs dealing with a flurry of relievers on the COVID-19 injured list, they have elected to add another bullpen arm. It's possible Alzolay can return on Sunday, when his next scheduled start was. Veteran pitcher Shelby Miller will replace Alzolay on the roster and should be avoided in all formats. Alzolay should be held onto in dynasty leagues and can be swapped out for an active player in deeper leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
