3 years agoWashington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin registered a pair of goals and added two assists as his team defeated the visiting New York Rangers on Wednesday night. With his two-goal performance, Ovechkin tied and then passed Marcel Dionne for fifth all-time in the NHL in goals scored (732). Entering the contest as a game-time decision due to a lower-body injury, the 36-year-old showed no signs of discomfort in this one - also recording a plus-one rating, three shots and one hit in 20:17 of ice time. After a down year (to his standards) last season, Ovechkin is primed to be a top fantasy asset once again in 2021-2022. He'll take the ice again versus the Lightning on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
