4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Alex Reyes was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday. With an unknown amount of time left until Opening Day, things can still change, but teams are trying to cut down their rosters regardless. Reyes still has tantalizing upside and is still only 25 years old, but injuries have limited him to just 53 big league innings since 2016. He's worth a late-round pick in deeper leagues because of his potential, but anyone drafting him should be ready for a roller coaster ride. It is still somewhat unclear what role Reyes will fill when he reaches the Cardinals big league roster.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
