Andrew Putnam Looks To Regroup On Approach
3 years agoAndrew Putnam's game seems to be heading in a positive direction. He has gained more than 0.92 strokes per round on approach in four of his last eight starts. Over the last 50 rounds, Putnam ranks ninth in putting on Bermuda surfaces. Coming off missed cuts at a soggy Players Championship and a tough Arnold Palmer Invitational, Putnam heads to a course that should fit his current profile a little better. If he maintains his accuracy off the tee and continues the iron play he had before the last two missed cuts, Putnam has a good chance to make the weekend.
