Andrew Stevenson Goes On Injured List

5 years agoThe Washington Nationals placed outfielder Andrew Stevenson (back) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with back spasms. In corresponding moves, Gerardo Parra was added to the active roster and relief pitcher Jimmy Cordero was designated for assignment. Stevenson had three hits in his 12 at-bats as a bench option for Washington, and he's unlikely to see much more time in the big leagues this season. Parra brings veteran depth to D.C., but he was slashing just .198/.278/.267 with a homer, six RBI and two steals in 86 at-bats with the Giants before they cut him. He's a long shot to be relevant outside of deep NL-only leagues at this point in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
