Asdrubal Cabrera Injured Thursday

5 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Asdrubal Cabrera left the game early on Thursday with left calf tightness. He will be re-evaluated and we'll likely know more on Friday, but there's a good chance that he'll need to go on the injured list. Cabrera was hitless in his lone plate appearances on Thursday. The veteran utility man hasn't hit for much average this year (.237) but does have six homers and 17 RBI. He's mostly useful in deep mixed leagues for his positional versatility. If he needs an injured list stint, the Rangers could use Danny Santana and Patrick Wisdom at the hot corner. Santana has been swinging it well and is the more attractive option in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
