3 years agoThe Indiana Pacers drafted guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin out of the University of Arizona with the sixth overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft. Mathurin was considered an intriguing prospect after his freshman year at Arizona in 2020-21, but he opted to return to college for a second year. In his sophomore season, he showed a lot of growth, increasing his points per game from 10.8 as a freshman to 17.7 last year. The 6'6" 20-year-old is an explosive athlete who has a smooth stroke from the perimeter and can deliver highlight reel dunks. He also has a lot of promise on the defensive end of the floor. Mathurin has the chance to become a great building block for the Pacers alongside Tyrese Haliburton and Chris Duarte.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
