Bill Belichick Impressed With Cam Newton's Work Ethic

4 years agoNew England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said that he's been impressed with quarterback Cam Newton's work ethic during training camp. "He's an extremely hard-working player; first guy in, last guy out. He's studied hard and has spent a lot of extra time learning the offense. I've been very impressed with that. He's a very skilled athlete," Belichick said. Jarrett Stidham's hip injury has paved the way for Newton to see an increase in snaps at practice as he tries to win the starting QB gig. Even before Stidham got hurt, Newton was expected to be the Week 1 starter. As long as Newton is healthy, he'll be starting in New England. And if he remains healthy, the dual-threat signal-caller is a QB2 with upside in fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
