4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Brendan McKay (shoulder), the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was set back by some early camp shoulder soreness, but he has been throwing regularly at Tropicana Field and is ready for spring training 2.0. McKay is part of the team's 60-player pool and could be used to build in some breaks into the rotation during the shortened season, especially early on. The left-hander could also be used behind openers. The 24-year-old wasn't all that great in his MLB debut last year, going 2-4 with a 5.14 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 56 strikeouts in 49 innings over 11 starts and two relief appearances. McKay has plenty of upside and can also swing the bat, but his fantasy ceiling could be pretty low in a 60-game season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
