5 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman/pitcher Brendan McKay will make his major league debut on the mound versus the Texas Rangers on Saturday. The two-way star has a 1.22 ERA with 88 strikeouts between Double-A and Triple-A this season. McKay has been slumping with the bat, hitting .205/.313/.331 this season. It's unclear how the Rays will use McKay as a position player, but he'll likely see some playing time at first base or in the outfield.
