Bryce McGowens Hits Five Three-Pointers In Wednesday's Game
2 years agoCharlotte Hornets forward Bryce McGowens had a strong offensive game in the team's Summer League contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. He shot 7-for-10 from the field, 5-for-6 from three-point range and 5-for-6 from the free throw line on the way to a team-high 24 points. He also had two rebounds and an assist. McGowens, who was a second round pick in this year's draft, has been launching away from the three-point line so far in Summer League play. He shot 3-for-6 from downtown in his Summer League debut, then struggled in his second game, shooting 1-for-5 from three-point range and 2-for-14 overall. The 6'6" 19-year-old is unlikely to break into the team's rotation as a rookie unless the team suffers multiple key injuries on the wing.
